Port Jefferson native and Vice Chairman of the JTM Foundation Board Donald Lippencott says that Mather Hospital is a “community treasure and needs all of our help to provide the high levels of care that we all benefit from.” That is one reason why he has made the hospital a beneficiary of a life insurance policy through his estate plan. “It is a legacy asset that costs a small amount to leave a large gift,” he says.

As a representative of New York Life, Donald helps people accumulate, protect, enjoy, and distribute their wealth in the most tax-efficient manner. When he was asked to join the Foundation Board by a friend who was a member, he knew it was a great opportunity. “Making an impact on the community has long been a goal of mine,” he says, “and through this organization I am able to do that.”

Now living in East Setauket with his wife of 15 years, Charlotte Adair, Donald says that he and his family are greatly enriched by their involvement with Mather. “My gift is to be used in any way the hospital sees fit,” he says. “I hope that the example I have set will encourage others to help support Mather Hospital.”
